Rajasthan is all set to host Kumbhalgarh Festival from December 1-3 this year. Organised by the Rajasthan Tourism, this fest celebrates Maharana Kumbha’s contribution toward art and culture. People will be able to take part in the festivities and enjoy cultural fusion on these dates. And the venue, Kumbhalgarh Fort, will offer you more than one reason to participate in this festival. Kalbeliyas, Langas, Terahtaali, Kachi Ghodi and Odissi dancers will be enthralling the audiences with their performances. This fest is also looked upon as an opportunity for foreign tourists to get the taste of real India. Sufi songs, Rajasthani folk dance, and saperaI (snake) dance are some of the highlights of Kumbhalgarh Festival.
Highlights of the festival
The festival will be divided into two sections; while there will be exhibitions during the daytime, where locals will be displaying regional stuffs, such as jewellery, ethnic wear, handicrafts, souvenirs, and more more, evenings will be full of sound, music, light, and dance.
Some interesting competitions will be conducted among locals and foreigners, such as pagadi bandho (tying the turban), tug of war, musical chair etc.
You will also get to witness the historical and quite popular puppet show during this festival.
This three-day festival will have all the elements to enthral visitors, and one will get the opportunity to enjoy fusion between Indian classical and Rajasthani folk.
