Don’t opt for a bus tour of the city, just hire a cab instead (don’t try driving, Delhi’s more road-rage than driver-friendly). Ask the driver to take you through central Delhi where you’ll get to see the famous India Gate, an archway that was built as a memorial for British and Indian soldiers killed during the First World War and the Afghan War of 1919. A drive-by is sufficient. From here, head to Rashtrapati Bhawan, the Pariliament House and Connaught Place, to complete your tour of Lutyens' Delhi.
