Coffee culture has changed the fortunes of this country. Leaving commercial brands behind, Costa Rica has plenty of coffee farms, small coffee shop owners, and branded chains for coffee beans and grounded coffee. There are many coffee plantations you can choose from. Many of them have also built a few breezy rooms if you wish to spend a weekend taking the tour and drinking some fresh brewed in-house coffee. The popular locations that are famous for small and private finca are Café Finca Rosa, Doka Coffee Estate, Britt Coffee Tour in Heredia. The tours essentially give you an insight on harvesting the coffee crop, how the beans are handpicked, dried, and roasted. You will also get a few lessons in coffee tasting.
