The fish souk at Mina Zayed Port is a place where a sea food lover or a fish lover will find almost every raw material that he/she needs. A fish market in nature, you cannot avoid the strong stench, but this is a little price you pay for the ease of shopping from stalls stacked with fish, crabs, clams, prawns and other sea food products. The market sees an early opening at around 3 AM in the morning when fishermen arrive with their catch. Visitors arrive a bit later and all activities like haggling, wandering and hopping around stalls start taking place in full swing. If you are in this market as a buyer, make sure to use your bargain skills. You can also enjoy a light meal cooked in the nearby area of the souk.
