One of Delhi’s most popular cultural venues, this complex houses some of the biggest and best auditoriums in Delhi. It is also the headquarters of the Directorate of Film Festivals (DFF), which organises film festivals and screenings of regional award-winning cinema here on a frequent basis. Built in the Siri Fort area during the Asiad Games in 1982, it has a total seating capacity of around 1865 persons. It is equipped with state-of-the-art technology for screening films, holding music concert, dance performances, as well as plays and other cultural performances. Over the years, leading national international artistes such as Norah Jones and Zakir Hussain have performed at Siri Fort. It was also the venue for US President Barack Obama’s concluding address during his 2015 visit to India.
