It is one of the best science centres for kids in all of North America, located just outside downtown in a brilliant looking building that lights up in different colours each night. Warning—driving by at night with your kids will make them beg you to take them inside. Luckily this science centre is just as fun for adults as it is for kids and heck you may even learn a thing or two. For the younger kids, there is an absolutely awesome creative kid’s museum, where little ones can splash, climb and race their way through hands-on activities, learning about their own senses. Featuring a giant climbing centre, toddler area and plenty of water and sand to play with, the hardest thing will be getting your kids to leave this place. The live science demos are often a hit amongst kids of all ages as scientists get on the ‘Inspiration Stage’ and demonstrate interesting things such as bubbles of fire, huge heartbeats and limits of human hearing. Outdoors, the huge Brainasium provides endless play for children of all ages. Watch as they enjoy on the teeter-totter, a huge metal slide that requires them to climb ropes all the way up, and the numerous giant spinners and whistles.
