The Indian Military Academy building in Dehradun is known as the Chetwode Building and takes it name from Field Marshal Sir Philip Chetwode, who was the Commander-in-Chief of India at the time the Academy was set up. Located along Chakrata road, it’s worth driving by just to take a look at the regal and imposing structure if you’re pressed for time. Just 3 kilometres from the Forest Research Institute, the IMA also houses a museum, a library, war memorial, a shooting demonstration room and an 18-hole golf course.
