What is the positive side effect of a country on a volcanic ring? Hot Springs! The hot springs can be enjoyed in one of the open rivers under the shade of trees, or you can check in at one of the luxury hotels and enjoy the private stream that passes through, with towels and cabins included. La Fortuna leads Costa Rica in this activity. Spring water steams at 40 degree Celsius coming from the Volcano itself that erupted back in 1979. The hot water spring resorts are pretty steep and are bound to burn a hole in your pocket, but they are worth the price with the obsequious treatment offered, the privacy, and luxury with extraordinarily curated manicured gardens. You are bound to give in to the weekend that you will spend in daze of tricking water and chirping birds. Other places where you can jump in a hot spring are Ojo de Agua (Eye of the water) springs in Alajuela, hot springs at dormant volcano in Miravalles, thermal hot springs at San Gerardo, Chirripo.
