The Ušće complex consists of the Ušće Tower and Ušće Shopping Mall. The 25 storey Ušće Tower is the tallest building in Serbia, whereas the Ušće Shopping Mall is the largest shopping mall in Serbia. Built in 1964, the skyscraper of Ušće Tower dominates the skyline of Belgrade. It is located at the confluence of River Sava and Danube, and the glass facade of the tower reflects the ripples in water. The tower was originally built as headquarter for the Central Committee of the Yugoslav Communist Party. It suffered severe damage during the NATO bombing in 1999. Post the dissolution of Yugoslavia and reconstruction, the tower has been leased out to corporate offices. The restaurant on the 25th floor of the tower offers stunning panorama of Belgrade. It is expensive, but the only purpose of dining there is to enjoy the vista dotted with scenic river confluence and Belgrade Fortress. There is also a mall adjacent to the tower, which hosts more than 100 branded stores, cafes, and cinema halls. So book a table in advance, and enjoy a meal with a view!Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
