Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary is known for its gorgeous vistas and numerous species of birds, and the ideal time to visit this place would be the early hours of the day. The tall pine and oak trees of the sanctuary remain wrapped in mist early in the morning. It is a delight to see the first rays of the morning sun seep through the canopy. It is a nice winding road meandering through the trees to the highest point in Binsar. You would be enthralled to see the birds flying alongside as you drive up. A trek of 2 km through a forest patch leads to Zero Point (2345 m), the highest point in Binsar. The view from Zero Point would leave anyone flabbergasted. The hazy blue hills with mist all over is absolutely surreal and a sight to behold. This frame is an absolute delight for any photographer. Beyond the blue hills are the snow-capped peaks of Nanda Devi, Panchchuli and Trishul. The best vantage point to enjoy the panoramic and expansive vistas of the hills, mountains and the valleys is the machan at Zero Point. Apart from the vistas, the numerous species of birds is the major attraction that brings nature lovers to this beautiful sanctuary. Apart from the avian fauna, macaques and barking deer are commonly spotted here.
