Head about 30 km outside Port Blair to Wandoor, the hotspot for exotic marine sightings and a base for the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park. Expect a slow boat ride along the mangrove islands. Snorkeling and other underwater experiences are very popular here, and many tourists even prefer to dive here rather than at Havelock island. Jolly Buoy and Red Skin are the islands most popular spots for underwater adventures, but be mindful of the timing—they’re open to public only between Oct and May.
