Witness the Kumarakom Boat Race

Held on Vembanad Lake in the quaint town of Kumarakom, this boat race is also known as the Nehru Boat Race, named after former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. Held between the months of August and September every year, this boat race is participated by hundreds of local boatmen who row long snake boats fiercely on the serene Vembanad Lake.
