Evergreen Brick Works

The Evergreen Brick Works is a very special and unique place, just north-east of downtown Toronto, in the lush Don Valley. Literally, a former factory site, the area was transformed from a collection of deteriorating buildings into a thriving community centre that entertains visitors while informing them about green design and urban sustainability. Open all year round, the Evergreen Brick Works inspires visitors to live, work and play more sustainably through interactive workshops and community festivals. This is a place for the whole family. You will find ravine walking trails and a children's garden in summer; a skating rink in winter; and all year round, Toronto's largest farmer's market, a cafe, art galleries and all kinds of special events and workshops.

Spending time at the Evergreen Brick Works is a fun way to teach the kids about sustainability while furthering the Evergreen organisation's "Green Cities, Healthy Planet" vision. Programs here are organised into four themes: Greenspace, Children, Food and CityWorks.
