A hike in the park led this man to a precious 9.07 carat diamond!

We are all for outdoors but this news coming out of Kansas might just add a more alluring reason than ever. A reason big enough to tempt you to hit the trails, get active a well as strike gold, or diamonds perhaps. Well, we are not making it up, for news has it that a man in Kansas went off for a walk in a state park and stumbled on a 9.07 carat diamond.

Kevin Kinard, a 33-year-old bank manager is the guy who got lucky when he visited Arkansas’ Crater of Diamonds State Park. The diamond is cited to be rare even as Kevin believed it to be nothing more than a piece of glass! While diamond finds are not rare in the park, what Kevin stumbled upon is indeed rare, as it is the second largest diamond to have been found in the park ever since its opening. The same was confirmed in a press release by the Arkansas State Parks. Kevin is a regular at the park but says he never had a more impressive find, and he was mostly shocked as experts examined and confirmed the rarity of his discovery. What is interesting is the fact that Kevin has been scouring the park for diamonds from quite some time, and turned lucky with this one. It is opined that the day of his discovery was made more suitable than ever as it had recently rained, and the park was ploughed some days back, increasing the chances of finding anything that can shine. While you might or might not be as lucky as Kevin when you hit the trail, it's never bad to burn some calories and get back to nature, right! We wish you luck as well.
