As per the reports, Greece’s 'five lines of defense' strategy to contain the spread of COVID-19 will include the following:
- All visitors will be required to present a COVID-19 test result, or must be fully vaccinated.
- A checking system will be in place at Greece’s airports and borders, where passengers will be selected randomly to undergo a rapid test.
- In case any visitor tests positive for Coronavirus, they will be isolated in a 'quarantine hotel'.
- One must strictly adhere to all COVID-related safety protocols, such as wearing face masks and maintaining adequate social distancing.
- Everyone related to the tourism industry need to be vaccinated. Also, priority needs to be given to the most vulnerable Greek citizens.
