Taj Mahotsav 2024, one of the much-awaited cultural festivals, is all set to be organised on February 18th to 27th in the vicinity of the Taj Mahal at Shilpgram. Agra, renowned for its historical significance and vibrancy, serves as the host city for this celebration, dedicated to honoring the enduring love of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and Mumtaz. The Taj Mahotsav not only pays homage to their love story but also serves as a vibrant exposition of India’s rich art and culture. This festival, orchestrated by the Department of Tourism, features an annual Mughal-style procession and numerous folk performances. The inspiration for the Taj Mahotsav is rooted in the Mughal era of the 18th and 19th centuries in Uttar Pradesh.
