France becomes the first European country to introduce Digital Health Pass

France has become the first country in Europe to introduce Digital Health Pass for travel. The much-talked-about concept is being introduced to restart international travel. These digital passes are being trialed on flights to Corsica.

According to local media, the pass will be extended to other international flights later on. The best thing about this is that it can be even used for things like festivals and concerts. But the passes won’t be valid for bars and restaurants. The pass comes after French President Emmanuel Macron said that he wants to relax travel restrictions on international travel for the summer. It includes fully vaccinated Americans too. Macron told a leading news portal that they wish to "progressively lift the restrictions."
Moving on in future, if anyone gets a COVID-19 test in France, he/she will get a text message or email with access to a state-certified online document. It can be printed or stored in the TousAntiCovid app. It will be the same for those who are fully vaccinated.A secure QR code will be generated by the app.

Didier Reynders, the European commissioner for justice, said that they are expecting "digital green certificate" to be ready for use by June 21.
