Discovered in May 2022, by 25-year-old amateur paleontologist Damien Boschetto and his dog while walking in a forest in Montouliers, France, stumbled upon this massive fossil. As per the reports, Boschetto noticed a collapsed cliff edge and spotted an exposed bone sticking out of the ground.
Boschetto, a member of the association for eight years, expressed that uncovering dinosaur remains is always intriguing for scientific research and understanding ecosystems of the past. However, discovering bones in their almost original anatomical position makes this find extraordinary.
The Archaeological and Paleontological Cultural Association, founded in 1975 to preserve the heritage around the village of Cruzy, comprises history and archaeology enthusiasts who have become enlightened amateurs in paleontology due to the area's abundance of dinosaur fossils. The association, consisting of region inhabitants, scientists, and students, has been excavating the site, referred to as a bone bed, for the past two years.

The recently revealed 70% complete Titanosaur skeleton was retrieved during the excavation, along with fossils of various dinosaurs and vertebrates. These included a Rhabdodon, a herbivore similar to the Titanosaur, and fragments from skeletons of carnivores such as Theropods and crocodiles. The Titanosaur skeleton currently resides in the Cruzy Museum’s laboratory for further study.
