India to get its first indoor skydiving facility in Hyderabad

Hyderabad is all set to get India’s first-of-its-kind indoor skydiving facility. Offered by GravityZip, the facility will be built at the Gandipet in the city.
As per the reports, visitors will not be required to jump from an extreme height and float on a parachute. GravityZip will offer them the option to experience the adrenaline rush and thrill inside the arena.
Considered to be safer than its outdoor counterpart, activities here will involve being in a vertical cylindrical tunnel, which will create a smooth column of air to ride on. As per the reports, pre-bookings are already open on the company’s official website, whereas prices have been fixed between INR 2000 and INR 3000.
The skydiving facilities will be conducted in a safe, closed, and controlled environment, and will remain unaffected by turbulence and external weather conditions. It’s accessible to most people, except those with prior medical conditions. GravityZip in its statement stated that anyone in relatively good health can enjoy indoor skydiving, and that they will do as much as they can to help people experience the amazing sport of indoor skydiving.
Reports have it that the space has been built on less than half an acre of land, and features a tunnel that stands at 3 m. The wind speed will vary from person to person, and will be maintained at 200 to 400 km. Two turbines will be running on 800-kilowatt power, whereas participants will be required to wear a jumpsuit made of nylon, spandex, and cotton, as well as a helmet and lace-up shoes.
