Portugal is the latest country to make a comeback from its lockdown, and entry into Portugal is now a possibility, but only if you are in the list of countries. According to latest news reports, Portugal has opened only to select nations during this first phase.
Reports suggest that in Portugal, stores, book shops, restaurants, cafes, and libraries are now open for business. However, restaurants and cafes are working with 50 percent capacity, and will close up at 11 PM. Other than these, you also have golf courses, galleries, zoos, and museums that are open now. Portugal has also laid out plans for the coming days, when religious celebrations would be permitted from May 30. Cinemas, concert halls, auditoriums, and theatres are set to open from June 1, but with reduced capacity. Beaches too are looking to open up on June 6.
It has also been reported that travellers going to Azores archipelago should test COVID-19 negative for 72 hours. They are also required to use face masks during transportation. Alao, those going to Madeira Archipelago, must be in quarantine for 14 days.
Further, the United Kingdom and Portugal are looking forward to creating an air bridge between the two countries. This would basically be a travel corridor enabling citizens of both countries to enjoy holidaying without quarantining.
