Monsoon travel: Avoid visiting these places during rains

Kullu
All travel to Kullu and the surrounding region should be avoided till the situation improves as monsoon has wreaked widespread havoc in the valley. A number of important road stretches are washed away and efforts are on to regain connectivity soon. Reportedly, stranded tourists had to be evacuated and rescue mission in currently on at a number of places around.
Uttarakhand
Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has requested travellers as well as pilgrims to cancel all travel plans to the state as heavy rains continue to lash the hill state. The famous Char Dham Yatra has also been halted for now with reports of landslides coming in from the region. Rafting and other watersports in Rishikesh also stand cancelled for now.
Manali
Manali saw widespread destruction over the past week and the situation remains difficult even as disaster management efforts are on. While the water level has dropped now, the popular tourist getaway is best spared from tourism till the authorities give a go ahead.
Delhi
While the capital city is a huge hit with tourists, it is advised that you do not include Delhi in your travel plans for now. Currently, parts of Delhi are seeing a flood-like situation with Yamuna river crossing the danger mark.
Meghalaya
IMD is expecting heavy rainfall in many parts of the hill state and it's advised that all travel plans should be postponed till the situation improves. While Meghalaya turns stunning in monsoon and is a hit with travellers, it is best avoided for now.
Parvati Valley
All travel plans to Himachal's Parvati Valley are best postponed till the situation improves as heavy rains have caused widespread destruction in the region. A number of tourists had to be evacuated from Kasol and neighbouring regions. Authorities have also urged travellers to not visit the state for now.

Assam
Warning has been issued for the state of Assam and it is advisable that travellers cancel their plans for now. A number of districts in Assam are under danger and authorities are taking steps to mitigate any possible flood risks.

Sainj Valley
Reportedly, a number of houses and properties have been destroyed in Himachal's Sainj Valley as well. While authorities are trying to help the locals and evacuate tourists as well, all upcoming travel plans should be cancelled for now.
