If you are planning to visit Mussoorie any time soon, make sure you take a RT-PCR test. As per the news reports, the Dehradun District Magistrate has now issued an order that makes negative RT-PCR test mandatory for travellers visiting the hill station of Mussoorie. As per the latest guidelines, the test should not be more than 72 hours old. Read less
Revealing more on this, Dehradun District Magistrate R Rajesh Kumar stated that testing is also being done at the borders of the district. Reports have it that in view of rising Coronavirus cases in a few states, the district administration has also decided to put a cap on the number of travellers allowed to visit this region during the weekends.
Thus, now as per the latest reports, the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) limits the number of tourists entering Mussoorie during weekends, which has now been restricted to only 15000 people.
