A number of people from across the country were present during the unveiling ceremony which saw firecrackers and people celebrating the moment by singing the national anthem. The entire place was filled with slogans of Bharat Mata ki Jai.
Giridhar Rajagopalan, Deputy Managing Director of Afcons, the firm developing the bridge said, "We can confidently state that the bridge would be roughly 98% complete after the golden joint is finished".
The Ministry of Railways took to Twitter and shared some amazing pictures of the bridge:

1) The bridge is 1315 m long.
2) When completed, the bridge will be 35 m higher than the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
3) It took over 1300 workers and 300 engineers to complete the bridge.
4) The arch of the bridge has steel boxes.
5) The overall weight of the arch is 10,619 MT.
6) The bridge can withstand high wind speed up to 266 km/hr.
7) Nearly INR 1486 crore has been spent on the construction of the bridge.
