As per the reports, Joseph Dituri went underwater on March 1, and is residing in Jules' Undersea Lodge, which is situated at the bottom of a 30 ft deep lagoon in Key Largo.

Dituri, who is also known as Dr. Deep Sea, is enjoying a normal living experience underwater. He eats a protein-heavy meal of eggs and salmon prepared using a microwave, exercises using resistance bands, does his daily pushups, and takes an hour-long nap, reports add.
Although he has already created a world record, Dituri plans to stay at the lodge until June 9, when he will complete 100 days underwater, which is an underwater mission dubbed Project Neptune 100.
The Dituri's mission Neptune 100 is said to accomplish many medical and ocean research along with educational outreach programs organised by the Marine Resources Development Foundation, owner of the habitat.
After spending more than 74 days underwater, the professor added that the record is a small bump and that he really appreciates it.
His research includes daily experiments in physiology to monitor how the human body responds to long-term exposure to extreme pressure. He added that the idea here is to populate the world's oceans, to take care of them by living in them and really treating them well.
Dituri's mission further includes conducting online classes and broadcasting interviews from his digital studio beneath the sea. During all these days underwater, he has reached more than 2,500 students through online classes in marine science and more with his regular biomedical engineering courses at the University of South Florida.
While he says he loves living under the ocean, there is one thing he really misses being on the surface is literally the sun.
