Adventure lovers, your ultimate Himalayan adventure is soon to become a reality one more as Nepal has reopened its mountaineering. This means that Mount Everest aspirants can also expect to try their hand at conquering the highest peak of the world in the coming days. All adventure and climbing activities were stopped due to the pandemic, and now it has reopened for the first time since March.
The mountains of Nepal, including Mount Everest are open for climbing in the autumn season, which means from September to November. The government in Nepal had started issuing permits for Mount Everest, and other mountains in August.
Bear in mind that the Himalayan country is not open for all visitors, but only for mountaineers and trekkers. That too, only those with prior permits.
Along with the mountaineers and trekkers, helpers, guides, porters, cooks, or anyone else accompanying them must take the COVID-19 test. Moreover, they need to prove that they have not been in an area with infections in the last two weeks. These rules must be strictly followed for a successful adventure.
