According to the government, the evacuation process of such a large number of people will at least take four days. As of now, the airlines in Vietnam are operating 100 flights per day out of Da Nang to 11 Vietnamese cities. All the travellers, who are returning from Da Nang, are supposed to go under self-quarantine for 14 days (mandatory).
Following the cases, the Vietnamese government has again brought back the rule of social distancing in Da Nang, starting Tuesday. A lockdown kind of situation can be seen in the area as the locals have been asked to stay at home.
As a protective measure, the government has also banned social gatherings, bars, and beauty parlours and has asked residents not to celebrate any festival for the time being. The borders too have shut to foreign tourists.
With international travel shut, Vietnamese local travellers took the advantage of the opportunity and travelled within the country for holidays. However, after the announcement, Vietnam's Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has asked the officials to ramp up contact tracing and large-scale testing across the city.
