Love by travel: How a photobombing session turned into a lifetime love story?

Anna and Tom first saw each other in the sand dunes of Mui Ne, Vietnam in 2014. Anna Faustino, then a young woman of 26 from Philippines was just living her travelling dreams while Tom Rogers, a 22 year old college grad (with a degree in aerospace engineering) from Wales (the UK), was enjoying his carefree life before entering into the world of jobs.

Photobombing love

Anna was busy filming herself on her GoPro that was strapped around her waist while sledding down the sand dune. It was then she spotted Tom in her camera. He was rolling down the sand dune right next to her unknowingly. She turned to look at him, wide-eyed and her camera started filming Tom as he tumbled down, head first in the sand!
Tom got up and headed towards and introduced himself and the rest is history! The two strangers soon became good friends and decided to explore Vietnam together for another three weeks. But Anna was getting worried as her year-long travel sabbatical was nearing its end. She was a teacher and had worked hard to fund her travel adventures.

Anna had given up everything to make her dream come true of travelling the world, but with Tom in the scene, she wanted to continue with her trips with him. So, Tom, who was supposed to be heading to Australia next, decided to go to the Philippines with Anna for sometime.

Soon, they were exploring the pretty beaches in the Philippines. Together they toured through Manila and the stunning islands of Palawan. The couple then started living together and after exploring a number of countries together, the couple decided to start their own travel vlog.

Many journeys later, in 2021, Tom proposed to Anna in the most dreamy way possible. He went on one knee in a hot air balloon floating over Cappadocia, Turkey. It was a surprise for Anna, who couldn’t resist but say ‘yes’ to this incredible proposal. Now, the traveller couple is all set to get married in Greece this September.

Today, Tom and Anna are still on the streets, mountains, trekking and hiking together and living their life just the way they dreamed! They have already been to 50 countries together and counting.
