Actor Gourab Roy Chowdhury recovering; cuts birthday cake in hospital on special request

Bengali actor Gourab Roy Chowdhury is a bit better now. The actor was hospitalised after one side of his face got swollen. He is a bit better now and responding to the treatment. Earlier the actor was unable to speak properly but now he can. Incidentally, yesterday was his birthday. While, Gourab’s social media handles are flooded with birthday wishes, the actor had a surprise stored for him.He got a surprise birthday cake and cut it in his hospital cabin on special request.
One of Gourab’s family members informed ETimes TV, “Gourab is bit better now. Pain is less but he is still under medical observation.” The actor diagnosed with a tumour earlier and the biopsy report is awaited, hospital sources suggest.
The actor, who is playing the lead in ‘Ogo Nirupama’, was rushed to hospital on Wednesday after his face was swollen. He attended the shoot for his daily soap on Tuesday. But late at night he started feeling unwell and his condition deteriorated by the morning. The actor was rushed to a nearby private hospital. Doctors suspect, a boil on his forehead might have caused the infection. He was administrated with saline drip too.
Gourab’s show ‘Ogo Nirupama’ stars Arkoja Acharya as the female lead. Prior to this, the actor was in ‘Trinayani’, starring Shruti Das. The show was quite popular and was remade in other languages.
