From Bastu-Shaap to Katmundu, a look at popular Bengali movies set to entertain fans

TV channels are working hard to spice up the entertainment quotient ever since lockdown started. Although the shows are already airing fresh episodes, almost every TV channel is trying to hook the audience to the TV screens with good films. Moreover, the theatres are still closed amid corona scare. The TV channels are trying to maintain the daily dosage of entertainment intact with their routines shows as well as movies.From airing old Bengali films to the latest ones, they are trying to help the viewers turn their home into a virtual movie theatre.
To entertain cinema lovers, a leading TV channel is set to air some Bengali movies this week. From 'Bastu-Shaap' starring Abir Chatterjee, Churni Ganguly, Kaushik Ganguly, Parambrata Chatterjee, Raima Sen to Raj Chakraborty directed ‘Katmundu’ (starring Saswata Chatterjee, Abir Chatterjee, Rudranil Ghosh, Soham Chakraborty, Srabanti Chatterjee, Mimi Chakraborty and others), a number of movies will be aired this week. While these two movies will be aired in the weekend, ‘Jobab Chai’, ‘Shiva’, ‘Kokhomo Biday Bolona’, it will also air, ‘Hrid Majhare’, ‘Mon Jake Chay’, ‘Bakul Priya’ and other movies. Yet another movie ‘Jodi Love Dilena Prane’, which was appreciated by viewers as well as critics, is set to entertain the audience, too. The film which explores love, relationship and different shades of emotions, stars Abir Chatterjee, Ananya Chatterjee, Alakananda Roy, Tridha Choudhury, Arjun Chakraborty, Mithu Chakraborty, Koushik Ganguly, Biswajit Chakraborty and Sujan Mukherjee. Not to forget, Dev-Koel Mallik starrer hit film ‘Mon Manena’ is also in the list.
Along with the movies, the same TV channel is set to rerun the shows like Payel De and Rudrajit starrer mythological show ‘Maa Durga’.
