Indrajit Chakraborty to play the lead in an upcoming TV show

Actor Indrajit Chakraborty, who has been a part of many Bengali films and popular television shows, will entertain the audience in a brand new avatar. The actor will play the lead in a TV show and will essay a character that is more than his real age.
Meanwhile, Tolly para is abuzz with the rumour that actress Koneenica Banerjee is making her comeback on television after a brief break. Sources suggest, Indrajit and Koneenica will pair up for the upcoming television show.Both the actors are popular and known for their acting chops. After an impressive performance in ‘Andarmahal’, Koneenica distanced from Bengali television for a while and concentrated on her movie career. She became a mom, too, and has been busy teaching acting classes.
Indrajit, on the other hand, featured in a few popular shows. He played a meaty role in Sona Moni Saha and Pratik Sen starrer ‘Mohor’. He also played a prominent role in ‘Nakshi Kantha’ featuring Suman Dey and Manali Manisha Dey. Sources suggest, the makers of ‘Korikhela’ wanted to cast Indrajit as the male lead but the actor was busy with ‘Mohor’.
Indrajit starrer ‘Deep Jwele Jai’ was a huge hit. Riding the success of ‘Deep Jwele Jai’, Nabanita made her way into the Bengali household. Nabanita played an aspiring badminton player while Indrajit essayed the role of her coach and husband. Nabanita and Indrajit’s jodi tasted an instant success. Interestingly, the show is being remade in Hindi as ‘Rishton Ka Manjha’, starring Krushal Ahuja and Anchal as the lead pair.
