Actress Liza Sarkar is looking forward to her new show. The chirpy actress is seen playing a meaty role in the recently launched TV drama Sagar Jyoti.
Liza, who is best known for playing Rinki’s character in Ke Apon Ke Por, will be seen essaying a meaty role in the new TV show starring Rahul Dev Bose (Sagar) and Nabanita Malakar (Jyoti). Speaking about her reel character, Liza says, “I am playing Rahul da’s sister Urmi.
She is a fun-loving modern girl but a bit snob. She lives life to the fullest. The character has negative shades.”
According to the story, Jyoti and Urmi are classmates. “Urmi and Jyoti might be classmates but they are poles apart. Urmi can’t stand Jyoti who is a good student.” Things get complex when Sagar and Jyoti come closer.
Interestingly, in real life, Nabanita and Liza have become very good friends. “Onscreen Nabanita di is my arch-rival. In real life, we have become very close. We enjoy adda sessions, make reels, and have all kinds of fun. Right after that, I have to play her enemy in a serious sequence. At times it is really hard to switch over. I mean, how can you play someone's arch-rival right after sharing a plate of biryani (laughs out loud) with her," Liza adds.
In the popular TV show ‘Ke Apon Ke Por’ too, Liza was seen playing a negative character initially. Liza, however, enjoys playing negative roles. "I have no inhibition about playing negative roles. In fact, I enjoy it. I loved playing Rinki in Ke Apon Ke Por too.”
