“My dad is a doctor and I’m happy he is at home today,” says Krishnakoli actor Neel Bhattacharya

Actor Neel Bhattacharya is celebrating ‘Noboborsho’ at home with his parents. Amid lockdown due to the outbreak of Covid-19, the celebration isn’t how it used to be, but the actor is happy that he is with his parents. In an exclusive interview with Etimes TV, Neel shares how he is celebrating ‘Noboborsho’.
“Wish you all Shubho Noboborsho. I know, this year everything is different but I am sure we will fight hard and defeat Coronavirus,” Neel adds.
Every year, Neel wakes up early and helps his mom in ‘Alpola’ and attends puja at home. He adds, “This year I will be at home with my parents. I won’t step outside. Just like every year, I woke up early and helped mom in Alpona though I am not a pro at it. Every year, we have Puja at home and this year is not an exception,” Neel shares. The actor shared that he along with his parents will prepare lunch together.
“We all help each other in the kitchen and prepare lunch. There will be my favourite Amer Chutney too,” shares the actor with a big smile. But there is another reason behind his happiness. Neel’s dad, who is a doctor by profession, has taken an off today. Generally, he has to go out on emergency duty. “My dad is a doctor and has to go out for emergency duty. But I am happy, he has taken an off today. That makes the day really special for me,” he shares.
The ‘Krsihnakoli’ actor has also thanked all who are still outside fight for us and said, “There are a lot of people who are still outside for us. I would like to thank the doctors, nurses, police and all others who are fighting just to keep us safe. We have to win this battle at any cost.”
