Popular game show Didi No. 1 to celebrate Ratha Yatra

The entire nation is eagerly waiting for Ratha Yatra, the famous chariot festival, which will begin on July 4. While, preparation in Jagannath Puri, Odisha, is on full swing, the other parts of the country are equally gearing up for the festival.
Ratha Yatra is also celebrated in different parts of West Bengal. From pulling the rope of holy Ratha to gorging on the fried Papad sold in Ratha Yatra, Bengalis have a special connection with the festival indeed.
Now the television shows are also gearing up for the Ratha Yatra. Popular game show ‘Didi No. 1’, hosted by actress Rachna Banerjee, will air special episodes to celebrate Ratha Yatra.
From pulling Ratha with the young participants to enjoying Bengali’s favourite ‘Papor Bhaja’, ‘Jilipi’ and other typical delicacies sold is ‘Rather mela’, right on the shooting sets, the show is all set to uphold the spirit of the festival.
Moreover, celebrity participants like, actress Sneha of ‘Nakhi Kantha’ fame and singer Jojo will be seen playing the game with Rachna. The shoot of these special episodes are already done and Rachna had a blast with the participants.
Meanwhile, the period-drama ‘Rani Rashmoni’ will also feature Ratha Yatra in its upcoming episodes. It will narrate the story of Ratha Yatra in Kolkata during British Raj. The special episodes will be aired entire week.
