The television serial ‘Guddi’, featuring actors Rano Joy Bishnu- Shyamoupti Mudly in the lead roles, has crossed yet another milestone. The daily soap has recently completed a run of 500 episodes. While many shows are ending their journey on Bengali small screen even before completing 6 months of their launch, the Rano Joy-Shyamoupti starrer turns out to be different.
The team didn’t forget to enjoy a celebratory mood.
Rano Joy, Shyamoupti, along with the other members of the team ‘Guddi’, engaged in a fun-filled celebration. Amid the hectic shoot schedule, the team took some time off. The artists, technicians along with all the members of the unit who work hard to make the show a success, gathered for a cake-cutting event. They also enjoyed a grand lunch together. All the artists cheered out loud as they celebrated their new milestone together.
Based on the story conceived by writer-director Leena Gangopadhyay, the television show ‘Guddi’ was launched in February 2022. Its story initially revolved around Guddi, a happy-go-lucky girl from Darjeeling, who wants to be a police officer, just like Officer Anuj Chatterjee. She considers him as her idol. The latter, on the other hand, is likely to get married to Shirin, who is Guddi’s teacher. But destiny plays its cards and Anuj is forced to marry Guddi. The initial sequences were shot at some breathtakingly beautiful places in North Bengal to give the story a realistic touch. Although the show managed to set high hopes because of the beautiful sequences shot in natural locations and a strong cast, ‘Guddi’ couldn’t cast its spell on the TRP charts. Soon, the story also took a different turn and is currently progressing with the second generation of Anuj and Guddi. However, the show enjoys its loyal fan base. Shyamoupti is playing a double role in the show.
