Shrabani Bhunia to play a courageous girl in upcoming TV show ‘Madhabilata’

Actress Shrabani Bhunia, who stepped into the showbiz with popular television serial ‘Rakhi Bandhan’, will play the titular role in upcoming serial ‘Madhabilata’. The project, produced by Snehasish Chakraborty, will present Shrabani Bhunia in a completely new avatar. The actress, who was seen playing the role of an ideal daughter who is sweet by nature, will essay a rebellious character in the upcoming TV-drama.
Madhabilata aka Madhabi is a courageous village belle.Girl next door Madhabi is otherwise a sweet girl but she doesn’t hesitate to take Rudra avatar when she notices injustice. She grew up in a rustic environment, shares a close bond with mother nature and protects the trees of her locality risking her life. The upcoming show will also feature fighting sequences and the ‘Jibon Sathi’ actress will be seen beating up the goons who tried to demolish the trees.
While Shrabani will play the role of a courageous village belle, ‘Boron’ fame Sushmit Mukherjee will essay the role of a modern guy who has interest in wild photography. The male and female protagonist meet each other when the former’s family visits Madhabilata’s village.
The cast and crew recently shot for the promo at some beautiful locations of rural Bengal.
Speaking about Shrabani’s career, the actress was last seen in daily soap ‘Jibon Saathi’ which also featured veteran artist Indrani Dutta in a prominent role. Besides this, Shrabani played an athlete in ‘Kanak Kakon’ and has also done music videos.
