Homi Wadia’s Gujarati TV offering

The veteran actor-director is donning many thinking caps these days
Homi Wadia’s Gujarati TV offering
While renowned Gujarati theatre and TV personality Homi Wadia has donned many thinking hats, the Gujarati entertainment industry sees the stalwart as an inspiration when it comes to Gujarati television and Gujarati theatre.
While the world of TV and theatre looks at Homi as a revered figure, with actresses like Krishna Gokani and Bhakti Rathod talking about the iconic actor as an inspirational mentor, it seems the actor-director’s fan following is getting larger and bigger.

Say Bhakti Rathod, “Homi Wadia gave me so much encouragement to join Gujarati theatre. And it is after working with him that I realised how much love I had within for my mother language Gujarati. And now I am doing a Gujarati show that I relate a lot to. It is rarely that such an inspiring mentor you get to have in showbiz.”
While Krishna Gokani is getting to explore more layers of a Gujarati script in the show 1760 Sasumaa, it is the directorial acumen of Homi Wadia that the actress feels “is worth noticing and something that young actors would like to learn about.”
At the same time, as a director Homi Wadia seems to be leaving no stone unturned to make the script of 1760 Sasumaa more crisp, to the point and a well executed one that appeals to the Gujarati TV audience.
