Abhay Vakil, who was last seen in TV show Silsila Pyaar Ka, recently went on a solo trip to
Darjeeling, Bagdogra and Lepchajagat in West Bengal. The actor shares how he enjoys taking a solo trip once in a year to get away from the city life and enjoy solitude.
Abhay said, "I always take a solo trip whenever I feel I need a good break away from the chaos of city life. I enjoy peace, meditation and calm away from the city. This year, I wanted to enjoy the divine magnitude of Kanchenjunga mountains (located on border of Sikkim), and explore Bagdogra, Darjeeling and Lepchajagat in West Bengal. It was magnificent staying in these towns and enjoying the mountain views and the green surroundings."
The Palkhi actor shared further, "The best part was enjoying solitude away from the city chaos. It felt great watching the Kanchenjunga mountains. I also explored a pine forest near Darjeeling named Lepchajagat. It was spectacular. And one sunny day, I was able to view the Mt Everest. The skies were clear and the weather was good. Every time I take a solo trip, I come back rejuvenated and replenished. I feel recharged to get back to work."
Abhay, who has kept away from TV for some time now, said, "I am hoping to bag something interesting soon. In the past, I have bagged interesting lead roles in TV shows and so now, I don't want to just do something for the sake of it. Makers are experimenting with new stories and I like a few shows on TV. I also want to explore the OTT genre."
