Aashiesh Sharrma back his Jamai Raja co-star Rahul Roy amid criticism; says “There Is Nothing ‘Cringe’ About Showing Up and Owning Your Craft”
Aashiesh Sharma, known for his roles in Siya Ke Ram, Chandragupta Maurya and Rangrasiya is set to surprise audiences with his performance in Khejdi. He recently used Instagram to support Rahul Roy, who has been facing criticism after his viral videos. Aashiesh emphasized the need for respect and understanding. He stood by Rahul's dedication and dignity as an actor.
Taking to his Instagram account, Aashiesh wrote, “Strange times we live in... We grow up watching someone, singing his songs, feeling his presence on screen, and then we sit and judge him over a few seconds of a reel. I had the privilege of working with Rahul Roy sir, and I say this with full honesty, the experience was nothing but smooth, sincere and deeply professional. He came prepared, he gave his all, and he delivered as an actor. We didn’t cast him out of sympathy. We cast him because he fit the part and he did full justice to it. Yes, life threw a tough phase his way. But the dignity with work, ready to create, deserves respect, not ridicule. There is nothing small about wanting to work. There is nothing 'cringe' about showing up and owning your craft. There is only honesty in it. Full respect to you Rahul sir. From our side, nothing but support and many more collaborations ahead. "
By sharing this message Aashiesh spoke from his own experience. He also talked about how people form opinions based on social media clips. His message emphasizes the need for empathy and respect, for artists who face challenges.
Aashiesh Sharma and Rahul Roy have worked together on Jamai Raja, with Rahul Roy in the lead. Ashiesh's message goes on to prove that the actor believes in Rahuls' acting skills and work ethic.
