Abhay Bhadoriya joins Ekta Kapoor's Kumkum Bhagya to add comedy; says ‘My role is like young Rohan from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ – Exclusive

Actor Abhay Bhadoriya, best known for his work in Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, has joined the cast of Ekta Kapoor’s longest-running show, Kumkum Bhagya. As the series prepares for a generational leap, introducing Pranali Rathod and Akshay Bindra as new leads, Abhay is set to bring a fresh comic element to the drama.
A source close to the production confirmed that Abhay, now 18, has been cast in a significant role. He will play Tanuj, the younger brother of Ronak (Akshay Bindra), bringing humor and lightheartedness to the family saga.

"Abhay's character will have a fun-loving and mischievous streak. His mood swings and witty dialogues will add charm to the storytelling, making his presence both entertaining and memorable," the source revealed.
When contacted, Abhay himself confirmed the news, expressing his excitement about joining the iconic show. “Yes, this is true! I am shooting for Kumkum Bhagya, and my role is both interesting and promising. My audience will enjoy watching me. My character is like young Rohan from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham—fun-loving, carefree, and full of energy,” he shared.

Currently, Kumkum Bhagya revolves around the lead pairs Abrar Qazi and Rachi Sharma. The show, which once starred Sriti Jha, Shabir Ahluwalia, Mugdha Chaphekar, and Krishna Kaul, continues to evolve with new faces while maintaining its fan-favorite elements of romance, drama, and family dynamics.

Abhay has been a part of various popular TV shows, including Baalveer Returns, Kya Haal, Mr. Paanchal?, Tenali Rama, and Vighnaharta Ganesha. He was last seen in the web series Personal Trainer, featuring Tina Dutta and Gulshan Nain.
With his comic timing and youthful energy, Abhay Bhadoriya’s entry is expected to add a refreshing twist to Kumkum Bhagya.
