Arjit Taneja: I like all my female friends, but I am single and not in a hurry to get married

Arjit Taneja is single and eligible but he says he is in no hurry to get married. He says, “Marriage is a beautiful institution and I would love to have a family one day, but I am not in a hurry. I also feel that age should not be a consideration to get married. One should tie the knot when he/she finds the right life partner. I am young and I want to focus on my career before finding a life partner.”
Talking about his ideal woman, the actor, who was seen in Naagin 5 and Bahu Begum, says, “I feel my ideal woman would be someone who I can spend quality time with and share things about my life.I would like her to be my friend first. When the initial excitement fades after a few years, it is the friendship with your partner that counts.”
Arjit has been linked to his co-actress Mrunal Thakur in the past. He says, “Mrunal and I started our careers together, she is one of my closest friends from the industry. I get uncomfortable now when people start asking me about her or any other co-actress because I am not dating anyone. I love all my female friends and I can say that I am a better friend than maybe a boyfriend. Sriti Jha, Asha Negi... they are all great friends and we share mutual respect and love for each other.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Arjit will be seen playing the lead in Nath…Zevar Ya Zanjeer. He says, “After my show Bahu Begum wrapped up before the lockdown, I was busy working since the past seven years. But, in the lockdown, I moved to Delhi and spent time with my family. My new show talks about old customs and traditions and how they exploit the girl child. TV is catering to all kinds of audiences and I'm hoping that this show will spread a good social message.”
