Bhanu says, “The doctor’s profession has undergone a major change in the last two decades. In ancient China, a doctor got paid after he guaranteed good health of all people. But today, a doctor gets paid only if people are sick. Ambition, rather than healing mankind, has taken over and that’s why there’s a rise in incidences of medical negligence. Having said that, I would like to add that not all doctors are like that, nor am I playing a character like that. I thought it would be very interesting to play a doctor. Besides, it’s also the role of a guy who falls in love with his best friend’s wife. I am enacting a romantic role, with a comic element in it, for the first time.”
Hamari Sister Didi airs on new channel PAL at 8.30pm.
