Bhavana Balsaver replaced overnight

Of late many young actors have been replaced, be it in “Pratha” or “Ram Milaayi Jodi”, but now the latest tantrum queen is none other than Bhavana Balsaver, whose claim to fame is the cult comedy show Dekh Bhai Dekh.
When the second season of Yash Patnaik’s “Rang Badalti Odhani” commenced, Bhavna joined in as Gangubai. The team was happy to have roped in a veteran actress.Bhavna, who was already doing “Gutur Gu”, took up “Odhani...” and committed 15 days, but she didn’t shoot even for one full day. Apparently, she would shoot only for three to four hours, which put the production house in a spot, and a decision to replace her was taken.
Sukanya Kulkarni, a well-known Marathi film and theatre actress, will now take over the role of Gangubai. Bhavana, however, has a different story to tell. She says, “I have been in the industry for 17 years and have never faced such accusations. I am already doing “Gutur Gu” and considering that I play the central character in the show, it stands as my priority.
I shot with them for 10 days. I had informed the producers of “Odhani...” about the commitment and agreed to give them the remaining 20 days. But many a time, I am informed about the shoot on the same day and when it clashes with the other show, I am bound to give them time post “Gutur Gu”. I agreed to do “Odhani...” because I really loved the character.
