Bigg Boss OTT fame
Urfi Javed has sparked controversy again. The actress was spotted today (January 10) at the airport sporting a white t-shirt with the slogan 'Not
Javed Akhtar's granddaughter'. She sported black leggings with platform heels and carried a book in her hands.
Interestingly, it was in September last year that people mistook her to be Javed Akhtar's granddaughter considering they share 'Javed' in their names.
However, Urfi had clarified that they were not related to each other in any way.
Urfi, who is known for sporting bold and sassy outfits, had also added that trolls were linking her name to Javed Akhtar to put him down.
She had told ETimes TV, "People have cooked up stories just because my entire name is Urfi Javed. But he was never associated with me in any way. All this is just done to troll him and put his name down by associating my outfit controversy with him. But how is that even relevant?"
She had further said, "Even if his own granddaughter wears anything of her choice what's wrong with that? Why is he being held responsible for that?"
Back then even Javed Akhtar's wife
Shabana Azmi had clarified in a tweet, "Urfi Javed is not related to us in any way."
Talking about trolls who critique her fashion sense, Urfi seems to have made her peace. She told us, "There is so much more to me than my clothes! Why don’t people talk about me as an individual? I have realised that no matter what I post, people will say things. Be it a bikini or a salwar-suit, there are nasty comments always."
