Buddha & Buddhism the biggest export of India: Kabir Bedi
Actor Kabir Bedi is considered to be one of the most recognized and talented actors in the country today. Having carved a niche for himself with international audiences as well, the actor is all set to return to small screen after his last fiction show Ganga Ki Dheej.
Kabir, who will be seen doing a cameo role in a TV series about the life and teachings of Gautam Buddha on Zee TV, says that Buddha and Buddhism is India’s biggest export ever.

“I feel this theory is very important in terms of projecting the life of the Buddha as an Indian production. Because Buddha and Buddhism is India’s biggest export ever and we have not had a great story on Buddha from India. I am happy that Zee TV and Dr. B.K Modi together are doing it now and I just hope that Buddha has a great impact on viewers.”
Kabir, who found solace in Buddhism as a child, says that Buddhism has had a profound impact on his life, “Buddhism has had a profound impact on my life. Whether it was my mother or my personal experience as an ordained monk in Burma when I was 10 I have absorbed Buddhism. And I hope that the way I have gained from it viewers will also gain after watching the show,” concludes Kabir.
