Find a friend, who talks less and listens more like Kunal. Make sure he/she knows how to drive a car, so that they can take you for a ride, as and when you feel like it. One of you must be young at heart like me and the other can be old, traditional and conservative like Kunal. Never go for the same girl. Last but not the least, make sure one of you is well off, like Kunal.
Kunal’s take on the same
Choose young friends as they make you feel younger. No money dealings with friends. Don’t constantly criticise your friend, but when you do decide to, give it to them without withholding anything back. If there is a fight between your friend and his wife, always take the wife’s side. She will ensure that your friendship lasts. If you friend is Cyrus Broacha, keep telling him how young he looks. Your friendship will last forever.
How they met?
Reminiscing about a children’s play that Kunal auditioned for back in 1990, Cyrus says, “When Kunal came to audition for the part, I was not impressed with the way he read his lines, as I could not make sense of what he had read out. However, the director of the play, Raell Padamsee, felt that his expressions were really good, and would work with the audience. She was right about that and he bagged the role.” Kunal adds, “When I auditioned for the part I was about 25 years old, while Cyrus was about 17. He was not impressed with my audition, but we soon bonded over a bottle. We realised we could enjoy a drink together, it was the beginning of a fruitful and ‘wet’ relationship.”
