This is a treat to beat all treats. A food show like never before. And it’s international, presented by ET Now and seen through the eyes and taste buds of World Gourmand Award winner (for books published by the Times Group) Rashmi Uday Singh. It’s called Delicious Discoveries with Rashmi Uday Singh, starting tonight at 11.30 pm, and then every Friday thereafter.
The first series of the show is a three-episode gastronomy tour of France, beginning with Paris, then going onto Monte Carlo and Chamonix, and concluding with Cognac and Lyon.
Foodies, discover France’s secret gourmet capital, revel in glamorous, balmy Monte Carlo’s favourite eateries, snowcapped Chamonix’s gastronimique restaurant of a fifth generation chef, luxuriate in Paris, imbibe liquid history in Cognac... this gloriously luxurious, first-of-its kind food show presents superstar chefs, practical guidelines, useful information, memorable interviews and landmark restaurants. You may peek into places where cameras have never been allowed before, like France’s palace hotels and Michelin-starred restaurants, meet the most famous chef of the 20th century, the father of nouvelle cuisine — 84-year-old Paul Bocuse, be the guest of the grand young man of Cognac in his 800-year-old chateau, or catch Latino hottie Enrique Iglesias in concert.
Rashmi and her guest, fashion designer and French favourite Ritu Beri, take the viewer through a riveting experience of Paris tonight.
From a superb vegetarian meal at Alain Ducasse’s courtyard restaurant in Plaza Athenee to watching the patisseur demonstrate a uniquely simple recipe in Le Meurice. A fabulous chocolate massage, a chocolate tasting, and then a drive through the city in a Rolls with custom-made interiors by Hermes ending in the legendary George V Hotel. A cup of heady coffee and croissant at a pavement café completes the Parisian experience. Delicious Discoveries with Rashmi Uday Singh premiers tonight on India’s most cutting edge business channel ET Now. Watch it, feast on it, 11.30 pm onwards. Bon appetit!
Repeat telecast on Saturday at 9.30 pm and on Sunday at 3.00 pm and 11.00 pm.
