Ketaki Kulkarni has been a part of interesting shows like Barrister Babu, Vighnaharta Ganesh and more. The actress bagged the Bollywood film 1920 Horrors of the heart which stars Avika Gor in the lead role. In an exclusive conversation with ETimes TV, Ketaki spoke about her character in the film, doing TV shows and more.
Here's what she had to share:
Ketaki shared how she bagged the film, "I didn't expect that I would get into movies this quickly.
After Vighnaharta Ganesh, I was planning to continue with TV shows. I got a call for this film and I auditioned for it. I did hope somewhere to bag the role but I wasn't really sure that I would get it. I was still sceptical about getting a film this early. I thought about still working on myself and then trying. Fortunately, I got selected for the role and here I am. I felt it was a miracle and a happy moment for me."
When asked about how it was working with Avika Gor, she said, "It was great working with Avika didi. When I got shortlisted, I came to know about Avika being a part of the film. I was not sure about how it would be meeting her but then when we started shooting the bond became surreal and I am really happy that I got a chance to work with her."
She further spoke about her character, "Playing one of the pivotal roles was an endearing feeling for me. My character is going to leave the viewers on the edge of their seats as it is innocent and scary at the same time. I thoroughly enjoyed doing the character, it was challenging but I believe the role is every actor's dream."
Ketaki was sceptical about doing a horror flick, she said, "Initially, I was really scared about doing such a character. I am a person who would yell even if a person pats my back. I was sceptical about doing this role and how I would go about it. My mother is a horror fanatic. She loves watching them and she helped me, she boosted my confidence and even helped me understand how I should be the character and made me watch movies."
When asked about doing only films or TV shows, Ketaki shared, "I am fine with doing everything that comes my way. I don't have such plans that I would only focus on films from now on or only go for one medium. I am open to all and if I get a good challenging role in TV then I would surely do."
