Exclusive - Dipali Sharma on working opposite Avinash Mishra in Pyaar Se Bandhe Rishte; says 'He’s not just respectful and well-mannered, but also contributes thoughtful ideas on set'
Dipali Sharma, who is stepping into the spotlight as the lead in Ektaa Kapoor's Pyaar Se Bandhe Rishte, is overjoyed about this new chapter. Paired opposite Bigg Boss 18 fame Avinash Mishra, Dipali shared her excitement in an exclusive chat with Times of India TV. She spoke candidly about her path in the entertainment industry, landing the lead role in Ektaa Kapoor’s show, and her experience working alongside Avinash Mishra.
Tell us a little about your journey?
I began my career as an engineer, but deep down, I was always passionate about storytelling and performing. Trusting my instincts, I made a bold decision to leave my job and step into the world of acting. I started out with television shows, which helped me build a strong foundation in the craft. In 2021, I made my debut in a Telugu film. Since then, I’ve been thankful for each opportunity and remain excited about taking on roles that challenge and inspire me as an artist.
How does it feel to be a lead in Ekta Kapoor's next?
Of course, it feels incredible. I’ve previously worked with Balaji on Barsatein and Yeh Hai Chahatein, but this project holds a special place in my heart because I’m playing the lead this time. What makes it even more exciting is that it’s Balaji’s first finite series on YouTube. I’m definitely looking forward to hearing from Ekta Kapoor about it.
Does having a godfather in the industry make it easier to sustain a long-term career?
I believe in destiny. Having a godfather can be an advantage, but not having one doesn’t mean you're at a disadvantage. If something is truly meant for you, you’ll find your way—sooner or later. Some people are shown the way, while others create their own. Both paths are meaningful, but building your journey from scratch is what defines a true legacy.
How is it working with Avinash Mishra for this one?
Working with Avinash has been a truly pleasant experience. He’s not just respectful and well-mannered, but also someone who contributes thoughtful ideas on set. His creative suggestions really enhance the process, and based on my experience, he’s an excellent co-actor to work with.
