Punyashlok Ahliyabai has been running successfully for more than two years now, recently the makers revealed that the show will undergo a leap in showcasing the most important chapters of Ahilyabai. With the leap, Ahilya's children have grown up and she will become their nurturing Regina. With the leap, Krish Chauhan who earlier played the role of young Khanderao, is returning to the show as Ahilya's son Male Rao Holkar.
ETimesTV called Krish Chauhan and the actor confirmed the news. He said, "It is a great feeling to be back in the same show for the third time. First, I played the character of Khanderao, then I came back to the show post the leap as I had a few scenes with Aetasha and now I'll be playing Aetasha aka Ahilyabai's son Male Rao Holkar in the show."
He further quipped, "Punyashlok Ahilyabai has been a milestone in my career, I not only got popularity through the show but also got inclined towards historic dramas that now I really enjoy playing such characters."
Earlier in an exclusive conversation with ETimesTV, Krish had shared his take on doing historical shows. He said, "Historical shows have become my forte, and I believe in a motto, 'It is my kingdom and I am only one', it isn't like I want to only do historical and mythological shows or not do social dramas, I would like to explore them both but I love portraying the historical legends and I believe it is important to know their stories, especially for the youth to understand the rich history we hold."
