Exclusive- Kabir Sadanand: Realised how much I missed being in front of the camera and am looking forward to more challenging acting opportunities
Popular actor-director Kabir Sadanand, known for featuring in shows like Kuch Kehti Hai Khamoshiyaan, Family No.1, Shagun, and Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan among others enjoyed playing bad boy onscreen and shared his experiences of 2024 as the year comes to an end.
He said, "2024 has been a year of change and new beginnings and a lot of learnings. The year started with great reviews and nominations for my series Class, and now has delivered a surprise with some fantastic reviews for my special appearance in Director Kanu Behl’s “Despatch.” To be honest I'm overwhelmed and owe my gratitude to the response from the press and audiences for what I imagined was just one scene in a very important film. I guess being the bad guy on screens seems to have its benefits."
The actor is open to exploring new acting opportunities.
He continued, "I have been very picky about the parts I want to play and I am grateful to Kanu and Manoj Bajpai who insisted I should join the cast. Working with a director like Kanu can be exhausting but extremely fruitful, I am a fan because I finished the film finding a new side to myself. I have also come to realise how much I missed being in front of the camera and am looking forward to more challenging opportunities. It's exciting when I am able to break perceptions of my range as an actor with each performance."
In a previous interview with EtimesTV, he opened up about being a fitness freak.
He had shared, "For me staying fit does not just mean physical well-being and looking good! but it will also help me grow professionally. As an artist I have had the baby fat, boy next door look forever, times are changing, audience choices are changing and I don’t want to be left behind. I want to explore new roles that push me to the edge. I am using my fitness regime to carve a new lean and sharp look. The results are there to be seen, suddenly makers are seeing me in a new light and it’s encouraging to say the least. With it, I will enjoy more opportunities to explore new roles. I'm bored of playing the good guy on screen."
